I finally worked through the analysis paralysis and made my first offer this week!

It has been a great experience no matter what happens! I now know what to expect and how to make an offer, which I had only read about previously.

I haven't heard back from the seller yet...wondering what the typical time frame is for that? If you don't hear back does that mean they aren't interested?

I'm so grateful to be part of BP and love all the wonderful resources! Thanks BP community!

Hi there,

I'm hoping to hotel hack for BPcon but may not find a co-conspirator to get the lower price. If I book a room that will work for two people (i.e. with two beds) but only book for one person would we be able to change the reservation later to be able to share the room?

Thanks,

Ginnie

HI there,

I'm fairly new to BP and just getting started with my investing. I'm not sure if this is where to do this or not, but thought it was worth a shot.

I would really like to attend BPcon in October to start networking. However, the room cost is making it challenging for me. If I could share a room with someone it would make it more accessible for me.

I am a 54 yr old female who is friendly, clean, tidy and respectful. I run an AirB&B (with superhost status) in my home so am accustomed to sharing my space with others and being respectful of other's personal space. I enjoy music, art and am an avid dancer. I've never been to Cancun and am planning to stay additional days but at different location. I'm happy to share more about myself if you think sharing a room would be of interest to you.

Who knows we could create a great new friendship too!

Hello Bigger Pockets Community!

My name is Ginnie and I’m new here and so glad to be here! This is such a great resource for beginners like me! The webinars and books are the best!

I am currently a teacher and I live in OR and want to be more involved in Rental real-estate. I own a single-family home that I inherited in 2020 and have been successfully managing on my own and I rent a room in my home on AirB&B. I am also building an ADU at my residence to rent in the future but I want to start to build a portfolio of small multi-family properties.

I have been reading (more than a dozen books) and attending workshops since September 2023 and am ready to invest! I’ve read many of the books here on bigger pockets (really appreciate Brandon Turner’s books in particular) and continue to read more. Following the advice of several of the books I have done some basic investigating in different markets out of state, as landlord laws are not very friendly in OR and houses are more costly than other areas I’ve looked at.

The markets I’m considering are Cleveland, OH; Cincinnati, OH and Raleigh/Durham, NC. I’m wondering if anyone here has experience in any of these markets, has any advice for me or can recommend agents or property managers in any of these markets? I want to find a really good property manager since I will be out of state.

I would like to buy two properties in the same market to start. I will purchase one with cash and a loan and the other will be purchased likely with all cash within my IRA.

I look forward to getting to know people here and learning more!

Thanks for reading!
