@Jared W Smith Terrific, thats good to know! That's one less cost I would have to account for. Thank you @Jared W Smith for your insight, its greatly appreciated.

@Jared W Smith that makes sense but I read this information which illustrates a more essential other than aesthetics

Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space

Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical and partition layouts

Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures

Create a timeline for the interior design project and estimate project costs

Place orders for materials and oversee the installation of the design elements

Oversee construction and coordinate with general building contractors to implement the plans and specifications for the project

Visit the site after the project is complete, to ensure that the client is satisfied

Hello Everyone,

We are very interested in using the Homestyle Renovation loan when purchasing our next home.

Our question is, can the cost of hiring an Interior Designer and Architect be included in this loan?

Hello everyone,

I have been searching for deals in my area and I often see property being sold "AS Is" but have a tenant currently renting. My question is how do you navigate a scenario such as this when it comes to total renovation or just cosmetic updates?

@Christopher Phillips thanks for explaining it so well. I used a VA loan for my first home but the purchase would have went very different if I was more educated on the available loan programs. Now that we know, we are really excited about purchasing our next.

Would a home buyer still be eligible for HomeStyle loan or 203K if even if they are not a first time buyer?

@Michael Duncan actually many of the neighbors I had when I purchased back in 2015 have remodeled and sold their homes. The homes seems to be on the market for 30 days or less, even with minor updates such as new paint. I think the biggest selling point of my neighborhood is thats its a gated community with pool access and most homes are under $200K.
