Great opportunity!

Any kind of giveaway, contest, etc that will help you capture your prospects / contacts information will be helpful. Then, follow up is everything. When they leave your booth send them a thank you for stopping by text / email. Follow up with a handwritten card as a thank you. Call and set up a time to meet and discuss business over coffee and strengthen your relationship with them. After that get automated with your reminders. Follow up with them at least every month with an email, educational article or something of the sort.

All of this takes time but it will forge some very strong business and referral relationships.

Great job @Dawn Anastasi!!!! It's always good to hear stories like this. Keep up the good work. Quick question though - How did you like the peer to peer lending option? How did it work for you? It sounds like it worked great.

Outside of all the other ways to search for and market for a property. Mailers, Fliers, Direct Mail, etc. What is your favorite internet site in order to search for good quality home deals and leads? Two that I have used are realtor.com and auction.com.

Wonderful to hear stories like this. It is truly possible to create a money recycling machine. Why would a guy want to recycle all of his money? Freedom!!! Great job @Rahul Visal

Welcome! You have found the right place.  This is how I started. But, I'll never stop learning.

  • Read all the books you can get your hands on. BP has a great reading list and books by @Brandon Turner
  • Listen to the podcast. There are enough episodes in there to keep you busy for a very long time.
  • Read and interact in the BP forums. Tons of info here. Plus, you'll meet some great people and form relationships that will help you along the way.
  • Connect with local Real Estate Investors, Agents, Etc. No better way to learn than to interact with others doing the same thing in YOUR town
  • Mock up a few deals. Numbers and all. This will help you get a handle on what numbers you need to pay attention to. I personally am still learning this stage since it takes a lot of repetition before it's automatic.

That is just a few items that I have used to increase my education in REI. For me, I went into it knowing I needed to basically get a degree in REI so why not treat it like that right. Good luck!

I am new to REI and currently have a triplex deal pending. That being said, I have received much from REI even though I have not yet received anything of monetary value. Not only have I had the opportunity to increase my education and my skills, which to me is priceless. I have also had the opportunity to meet new people and form great relationships along the way. Now, onward and upward.
