@Rashad Ellis I can give you our attorney's contact information - let's connect. Right now you cannot evict for nonpayment in NJ, so since this is a nonpayment reason and you want to occupy, you MIGHT be able to evict.  Everything is a bit of a mess, but definitely worth chatting with our attorney.

Hey @Lindsay Op de Coul! would love to get the information for a great eviction lawyer- hopefully, they operate in NYC as well... Thank you very much!

Quote from @Krystof Pilisiewicz:

Hi @Solon Stephanou,

The eviction process depends on the type of the building the tenants occupied. If this is 1, 2-family house that should be easy and it should take you about 2-3 months.

I did this on my property (2-family house in Ridgewood, Queens) when I had to evict an older couple who didn't want to agree to my increase of the rent and didn`t want to move. Hire a lawyer who does this, and you will be fine.

Good luck!

Hello Krystof! unfortunately, my aunt is dealing with the same exact situation- the tenet at her unit in her primary residential does not agree to the rent increase which is current extremely below market value- can you please share which lawyer you use and recommend? Thank you very much in advance!

@Rachel H. Thanks! exactly- since we live there we need to be sure we bring in the right person. Thanks again!

@Rick Albert thanks so much Rick for your reply and yes! That's a good idea. I will be sure to consult first with a lawyer and make sure I find the right insurance. I feel like there is so much potential and I want to ensure I'm maximizing the property. We are doing all the renovation ourselves so anything we can earn to speed it up would be awesome! Thanks again!

Hi everyone!

I would your advice from the BF community on how to leverage your plans-
We just bought our first primary house. It is a fixer-upper on 6 acres of land.
We would love to find creative ways for house hacking to offer some of the expenses. We were thinking of renting out our property to allow the right person to park RV for a monthly fee.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? I would love to hear about the contract, things to be aware of?
Thank you very much in advance! this community is amazing and I am learning so much from everyone!

Gal

Thanks alot @Brandon L. I will certainly check them out. It can be bit overwhelming for sure.  I am learning as much as I can at this point and am planning on taking action within the next few months!

@Danny Webber sorry for the late response-  I am moving in a couple of days and packing doesn't seem to end :) $200,000 is reasonable...

@Jordan Moorhead ok. got's ya. thanks for the offer- I will keep in touch while i'm there.

@Danny Webber that's good to know. I haven't researched the area for investment but heard it's an awesome city. Do you need a lot of capital to start investing ( here in Denver the market is extremely competitive ) ?

@Jordan Moorhead that's awesome ! congrats!  I hope everything will go smoothly on Monday! I heard nothing but great things about Austin and San Antonio seems to also have a positive migration. I would love to meet up once I arrive if it works for you, of course!

@Jordan Moorhead nice! do you invest in MN as well or just in KY? I have noticed there are a lot more multi family units there that look affordable...
