Hello all! My name is Gabriel Puerta (aka Gabe) and was born and raised in Southern California. Currently I have no background in real estate. I graduated high-school and quickly joined the military: Navy. I've had interest in this business but I felt that it was never the right time. Now I have started setting short-term goals towards buying and holding my first multifamily home. I found BP through the BP Podcast and they both have been gradually getting me comfortable with making a big investment by answering a lot of the questions I have. I have a habit of analyzing too much and will be depending on this community to reel me back in.

To future friends and future investments!

-Gabe

Thank you all for your inputs! I've just started down this path of investing and Southern California has priced me out for now. I plan on taking action on quite a few of your suggestions.

How does one get a good understanding of the crime in neighborhoods besides looking at crime maps? I am from California and looking at investing in Kansas City, MO area.
