Basically..

I'd keep any 'personal files' (Yours or other peoples info) offline and encrypted when possible.

For an 'investment only' property, most banks will want 20%/25% down. If you live in it first, you can get away with as low as 3.5% (FHA).. so it depends on what you're trying to do!!

"...but something about ordering $10k worth of hardwood flooring off a website has me freaked out..."     ..better to think twice, than ask for a refund (and getting denied) once.

That being said, I'm curious to know what the 'experts' here think also!!
