Thanks Justin

The kitchen is a good size now compared to overall size of house.  So it would make it a huge kitchen.

Hello,

We are in the middle of rehabbing an old 1900’s village home near Rochester NY.  The house is a 1.75 story 1350sqft 2 bed 1 bath.  We needed to knock down the 1941 kitchen addition after discovering they did not have a foundation.(bought as is in foreclosure).  We now have the option of adding a full bathroom or making the kitchen space significantly larger.  The upstairs is a large bedroom with no room to add a second story bath.  So the down stairs will have one bedroom and two full baths.

what will increase the ARV the most. Large kitchen or 2nd bathroom?

What do banks usually do with bank owned foreclosures that fail to sell at auction?

I am in the middle of a deal on a tax foreclosure and plan on bringing the deal to a private investor. I have heard that private investors can take tax write offs on the investment property if they are signed over to them? Any thoughts?

Just curious as to the ages of some of the more experienced investors here when they started with their first deal.

I recently bought a house and the downstairs is a doctors/dentist office and the upper is an apartment....not uncommon for my area.

I am struggling :violin: with ideas on how to get a professional in that space and looking for some ideas!

Let me know what you think

Looking for where to start.....I have researched and read many books on foreclosurers, I have also found websites like www.nhmsi.com that list REO properties. My question is how can someone just starting out make the contacts and be the first one to find these properties? I have the financial backing I just need to find property....any suggetions? Ideas?

P.S. I am new to this website as of about mid december and I can not tell you all how great it is to be part of something like this and how much i have learned from everyone elses questions/experiences! thanks to all who reply
