I just came across your post. As the same question came to mind as well recently while reading Steve Berges How to Analyze Any Single-Family, Multifamily, or Commercial Property. In Case study #1 Under the operating revenues section, an in this

particular example a 5.0 % vacancy rate, which the

author states represents about 2 1/2 weeks of vacancy

out of the year.  What ratio are you going to use?
