Post: Is it my property manager's responsibility to manage contractors?

My property manager has their go-to contractors, but give me the option to shop around to find lower bids.

They tack on a 10% management fee to make sure everything is completely smoothly. I believe it is industry standard for them to mark it up 10-20%.

I hope that helps!

I would recommend a realtor, but I am biased as an agent myself. There is a lot of work behind the scenes and you are likely to end up ahead.

But as a FSBO, I would to make sure you are pricing your house accurately with comps, hire a professional photographer, pay to list your house on the local MLS to make sure the people you want see it, hire a real estate attorney, and prepare to deal with buyers. Additionally, title companies and may have an internal real estate attorney to help with the contracts and sale.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi Michael,

I'm a local realtor and investor. Deals on the MLS are still available here and there, but there are local wholesalers and FSBO properties that have potential. Shoot me a message and I can help search for the right property for you.
