Hey Odie,

I was laid off from Wall St. in 2008. A neighbor owned his own pest control company and needed help so he hired me. After 2 years of working with him I started my own company. Never thought I would be doing this but making the most of it. I hope to own some rental properties soon.

Just finished reading "How to Invest in Real Estate" By Josh and Brandon.

Great read. 

A lot of tips, and scenarios that helped me gain more knowledge. While reading I made notes and tagged pages with post it notes. Now its a reference book I can go to in a pinch

Thank you to Josh and Brandon for putting together a book that I will read again and use as a tool to start investing in RE.

Thank you Brandon, I will take a look at these.

Make sure all holes from gas lines, a/c lines etc. are sealed. Rats like to burrow so have the exterminator check under any decks or around patios. If there is a crawlspace treat that also. Once that is taken care of have them set lockable poison traps around building and re-bait for a few months.

My name is Frank, and I am a new member as of today. Been doing alot of reading and watching videos on real estate investing. I have a Wall Street background and now own my own pest control company since 2011. So far I have  real estate mutual funds, REITS, stocks, and Fundrise. Now I am looking to get actual properties in the portfolio. I would like to buy houses and rent them out. Or even do a flip or two

I'm here to learn more, and hopefully make some contacts to take the portfolio to the next level.
