Post: Residential or Commercial Real Estate?

Hello BP. I am in final stages of acquiring my real estate license.  I am deciding whether to focus on commercial real estate or residential real estate.

If the goal was to earn $$ as fast as I can, Which one of the two should I choose and why?

Input is appreciated from real estate agents who are in the field and went through a similar thought process.

Thank you.

Thank you both. While I am looking for further recommendations, I notice that both your suggestions are pointing north of I-30 as the focus area.

Hi BP community. Thank you for all the great advice on this forum.

I am in final stages of acquiring my real estate license.

I am currently in Houston but moving to the Dallas area soon.

I have the flexibility/option to move anywhere in or around Dallas.

I am looking for suggestions on some areas around the greater Dallas area that one could consider as candidates in order to start a "real estate career".

I'm interested in your input regarding areas with higher levels of real estate activity now or in the future, or areas that are conducive in general for real estate sales agents to focus on.

Since I am not from this area, I will be keenly looking for any advice on which area to consider as a starting point.

Thanks in advance.
