Thats a lie, Be careful who you listen too. Clearly they don't wholesale. Wholesaling is just an exit strategy. Just like flipping,Rentals, Short sales etc. There is a guy in PDX who does millions just wholesaling/flipping/new builds in Portland & surrounding areas
