Post: What's the best thing to do, Rent or Sell our Home?

This is just my thoughts on the topic since I have property in Dallas Fort Worth area. I would seriously look at selling it because of the taxes. I am not sure if your home is already homesteaded but when i converted my home into a rental my taxes went up about 47 percent. If you havent figured that into the investment equation, it will absolutely desolate your rental income.

Just my two cents.

what is it you are looking to do?

Are you wanting to rent them? Flip?

I know that deal may seem like an awesome way to start out, but buying lower cost homes is the way to go when it comes to getting started in my mind.

less monthly outflow in the long runs works out well

I have property in Texas and I will be the first to tell you that the main issue with having property somewhere that you can't get to in a reasonable time is the dreaded phone call from tenants/ property management. The PM company you choose to handle your properties needs to be stellar and also have contacts and agreements with various companies who will be able to help you get things fixed.

I say go for it but do the research first on your team in that local market.

I just helped a client purchase a home path property that was listed at 159900.

it had been on the market for 26 days and we wrote an offer of 129900 100% loan and they accepted within 24 hours.

I would suggest just go for it and wrote an offer. The worst that could happen is they say no....

good luck

Bandit signs are not allowed in my town. They get ripped down by the city as fast as they can be put up.

I look forward to following your progress!

Good luck :)
