If I find out my landlord has no home owners insurance does that make my lease void? Does that make this property legal to rent?

Who do I contact code enforcement? Lawyer?

In the state of Florida

I rent in FL and had water damage done due to a major leak in the bathroom. Sink, vanity, and floor in bathroom, also leaked into master bedroom through wall and into hall way outside the bathroom, (hallway and masterbedroom are carpeted) The landlord told us that his insurance company will not come out and survey the damage and they won't cover repairs because he didnt have water damage insurance.
Is water damage standard on insurance for a pipe leak in FL?

Is the isurance comapany required to come out and make a report before denying a claim?

What can I do as a tenant to make sure what repair need to be completed if insurance company won't come and atleast make a report as to what repairs need to be made?

When th carpets were pulled up to try to dry everything it revealed mold is this dangerous? ( i have to young children)

I had my own inspection done of damage and report of all repairs if my landlord does not repair properly can I break my lease?

What would I have to do to break my lease if repairs aren't made?

Renting wasn't an option really my mortgage payment was much higher than I could have rented it for. I owe probably 20-40 thousand or more than what the house is worth in the market today. My loan is with Well's Fargo Bank. I believe the reason they are not being helpful is that I am no longer living in the property. When I asked about deed in lue they said I don't qualify.

Am I wrong in thinking that the worst that can come of this is that once they auction the property I owe the diffrence which I DO plan on being responsible for and paying and I read somewhere that they have to set up ap payment plan with me for what that amount.

Well Josh I have cryed alot about this and had many sleepless nights about this and by far am NOT PROUD of what I have done!!! My fiance' was transfered with whom I have 2 beautiful children and was not about to be seperated for my kids nor myself from him. We attempted to sell the property with no luck. I just needed some advice on what to do, and Yes I am well aware that I will probably never own property again and ruining my credit forever thanx for reminding of the facts I already know. If you could assist in the question of whether I should take my name off of the car and timeshare it would be greatly appreciated. I am not a horrible person and I am very ashammed of what I am doing!!!

This was my primary residence. I'm not sure what you mean by other assets. I have a car that paid for that i own? and just the car and time share that I am the co-signer on. They are being difficult and uncooperative about the short sale option, as many are. Do you have any idea if I should get my name off the loans for time share and car?

I am in the begining stages of foreclosure. I was forced to relocate and walked away from my home n CT. Bank would not work with me on deed in lue or short sale. I really have no other option than to let the property be forclosed on. What will happen to me after this is all over with? What will I owe and how will I be notified? I do not want to file bankruptcy I have really no other debt. I am a co-signer on a vehicle what will happen with that and should I try to get my name off of the loan? I am also the co-signer on a time share what will happen with that and should I try to remove my name from that for the other party's sake? Any help anyone could give me will be greatly apperciated.
