This is a topic that interests me as well - due to affordable housing issues we are experiencing here in the Springs, as well.  These http://kangaroomsystems.com/kanga-room-gallery do not have garages built-in, however I can see potential for them working well as ADU's.

Hi @Sarah Karakaian - Have you considered a similar approach to the one taken on the new show "cash pad" on CNBC? You would basically approach a home owner with desirable land, park your RV on their property, airbnb it and share profits. This of course, granting the local zoning laws allow it.

Hey Jason, There is a live Q&A going on this evening regarding note investing.  I am not involved, but simply attending myself as I also have questions regarding investing in notes.  It is hosted by Dave Van Horn (Real Estate Note Investing book).

Here's a link if you're interested:

I know this is an old thread, but here's a helpful article on the Colorado Foreclosure Protection Act:

Hello BP nation, looking at county assessor's office and properties that are scheduled to be foreclosed.

There is one in particular where the outstanding balance states roughly $35K.  I know the property is worth much more than that, so here are my questions:

1) Is the assessor's office required to show all existing liens or is it likely this balance just represents the 1st lien and others are existing?

2) The county shows the attorney's office representing the lien holder (bank).  If I called them interested in paying off the balance in order to adquire, would they discuss that with me?

Please comment if you have experience in this arena and can provide insightful information.

Thanks in advance!

Rod

Interesting...that is a constant need for temp housing.  I would approach (maybe you have already) Coffeyville Resources and offer your rental properties to their employees/contractors and offer discounts for volume.  I would target them and make my properties the "go-to" for their temp-housing needs.

Well done, sir.  Seems like you have a good niche there.

Paul, out of curiosity...what are 20-50 working contractors doing week after week in Coffeyville, Kansas?? (no offense)

BTW, after doing a quick search, I see there are several homes listed under $40k...not bad for cash-flow if you say they rent for $400-$600/week and you have a 50%-95% occupancy rate.

I'm very pleased with YI home security cameras.  Since they are connected thru wi-fi, you can access from anywhere.  Cool features are two-way talkback, live view anytime from your phone (through app), motion alerts...etc.

Indoor camera (1080 HD) about $50 bucks

Outdoor camera (1080 HD) $99

Note that these are not connected to any alarm system or police.  These are simply for you to keep an eye on things and have video proof, should you need it.

Hope this helps!
