I read that it will effect section 8 but could not find anything on how it will effect.

Anyone know anything about this?

Looks like Millennium will be taking care of the problem.

So Millennium came and inspected the house today and told me that it looked like its been previously treated for termites and will be forwarding his report to his supervisor.

Wayne Brooks What do you mean "trip over the termites?"

I will keep everyone updated. I am hoping that it will be taken care of with no cost to me.

The only thing that I can find on the report is dry rot under the master shower which was repaired.

Jon Holdman I am going over all the Pre-closing inspections and it does not state that termites are there but it also says that it does go into walls if theres not 18 inches of clearance. I called my realtor and she said she has to go over the file again but is pretty sure Millennium cleared it, and will go after them once she makes sure.

Hello @janell the house was inspected before the purchase of the home and had pest clearance.

I bought a home around April and got inspections on the home for wood destroying pests.

It is now June and I am fully moved into this property and started noticing a very very small hole with sheet rock flowing out. So we called a different pest control company to check it out and sure enough it is infested with termites.

Terminex said that there is no more wood inside thats why the dry wall is coming out.

My question is there anything that I can do about this since I bought the home under the circumstances and inspection reports Millennium Pests gave us? Is there an attorney that I should speak to? Fidelity Home warranty?

Steve Babiak I held it for them because they needed to be cleared by section 8. However this is a lesson learned and I will not be doing this again.

Hi John,

I am not in a rush for a tenant however it would be nice to have someone in soon. I actually held the property a month and a half for these people with the down payment because I really liked this family and them being on section 8 was a plus.
