Justin S.
I can't say I am familiar with certified teaching brokers, but worth looking into before I sign up for a school. Do you happen to know of any in or around Chandler I can look at?

Thanks Jake Sparks for the info. Your probably right about not going wrong with any school, just wanted to due some due diligence and make sure I don't pick a school that others had bad experiences with.

I am seeing a lot more info here and elsewhere about AZREB, so might be worth the extra few minutes drive just to play it safe.

Thanks for the replies. I was looking at the school in Mesa because it was closest to my home, but just because it is closest doesn't make it the best. The ASREB looks and sounds like it may be worth the little extra drive.

Jake Sparks How big are the typical class sizes for the ones you have taken so far?

I am looking to get my real estate license. I see there are a few schools in the Phoenix area, with the closest to my home being the Real Esate Learning Center in Mesa (Guadalupe/Dobson). Has any of the AZ crowd gone here and how did you like it?

Thanks

Thanks for the welcomes Levi Gale, Tracy Royce and Justin S., good to see other East Valley people on BP.

Levi, I am reading up on terminology right now, but will be looking into that formula as well as the others I see mentioned here very soon, thanks for the advice!

Hello there. I am a married father of 2 little boys (one turns 4 this month, 1 is 4 months). I live in Chandler, AZ and work for a semiconductor company as a manufacturing supervisor. I have always been interested in homes/real estate/home projects and recently decided REI is a field I would really like to venture into, at least part time to start. I would like to get into fix-flips as well as start to acquire some long term rentals.

I am glad I recently found BP, and am amazed at the amount of information and experience that is available here. I think the fear of the "what ifs" as well as over analyzing has held me back from getting into real estate over the years, but knowing there is a resource like BP to bounce ideas and concerns off of has calmed those fears quite a bit. I think my next move is to continue to learn all that I can here, and jump in and find that first deal.

I am also looking to attend a real estate school, both for the information and to get a real estate license. I would like to use the license for my own rental/flip business and to be a part time agent.

I look forward to getting involved here, learning from the forums/blogs/podcasts, and hopefully building some relationships with some of you.
