I'd like to hear from anyone investing or invested in the Cleveland rental market. I'm looking into purchasing a duplex or two in the Cleveland area for long term rentals.

Paul: Your story sounds like where I want to be this time next year. Maybe we can meet up some time and "talk shop"; it sounds like you got a great strategy.

Grant: My first purchase was a condo in Des Moines 1/2 block off the marina. Got a great deal and it cash flows. I have an offer in on a second property a couple miles away; its a short sale but excellent price.

Wow, a 3/2 duplex for 60k; in Seattle that would easily be 250+. Congrats on your purchase and sounds like a great deal with excellent positive cash flow.

Hello everyone, I'm Will from Seattle. I've been a homeowner for the past 13 years and always wanted to get into real estate investing.

I just bought my first condo and have it rented with a positive cash flow :). It was a REO bank owned foreclosure that needed some rehab work. Luckily I'm pretty handy and did all the work myself to make a great unit.

My goal is to own multiple investment properties. Still not sure on what "multiple" will be. In the meantime I've been learning a great amount of information on the site.
