Hi everyone,

I'm not new to BP, but I am new to Texas. I just arrived with my wife 5 months earlier than expected because the Army changed its mind (go figure). Anyway, I have been following Keyword topics on the area and have received a lot of hits on Austin, but we are wanting to focus more north in the Round Rock / Georgetown area. I am aware of the Masterminds lunch at Big Daddy's and plan to attend but am looking to network with anyone involved in the area. We're looking for multi-family properties at the moment (the right SFH would also work) to fix and flip or hold. I have construction experience so as long as it's structurally sound, i'm interested. My wife (BP Katie Reborchick) is looking for a job in the real estate arena. She has 3 years of experience as a property manager between Philadelphia PA and upstate NY. She's looking to work with someone knowledgeable in the property investment side of the house so that we can gain more insight to the processes that work in Texas. We're both excited to be here and start a new chapter in Texas as my Aviation career lead us to this great area . I look forward to hearing from the BP community.

Wish it would have pulled through but a least we're making moves!  I'm disapointed but excited at the same time.  Onward and upward!

I've asked a few times and haven't hand any answers. Does anyone know what is wrong with the app? Every time I try to do a search it just shuts off and brings me to the home screen of my iPhone or iPad. I tried to reinstall the app with the same issue. Any ideas?

Sorry to hop onto this post, but what do you guys think about Georgetown?

Welcome! I'm in the same boat and will be at hood around November. I know there are some good REI groups in Austin to check out.

When I enter a question in the app search area and hit search or go, it closes the app. It doesn't matter how many times I try or restart my phone. I am unable to do any search via the iPhone app.

I worked the area along with PHA (Philadelphia Housing Authority) with the PA Army Counterdrug Program. I've seen better areas in Afghanistan than by Temple. 1-2 blocks away and the ground looks like sprinkles with all of the crack vials. Also the "new construction" you see is section 8 and the people that live there destroyed it as well. There are entire city blocks in that area that are falling down and vacant . I wouldn't do it.

I am a full-time military member but my wife is looking to become an agent to save us money on deals. What is the best option for the state of Texas? Any connections would be greatly appreciated!

Where / when are the Austin meet ups?
