iPhone / iPad app problems

I've asked a few times and haven't hand any answers. Does anyone know what is wrong with the app? Every time I try to do a search it just shuts off and brings me to the home screen of my iPhone or iPad. I tried to reinstall the app with the same issue. Any ideas?
