@Craig Combs that's a good question. Without saying it directly I kinda let my tenants know that it's the city's issue and not mine as the home owner. Its really unfortunate but all we can do is listen to the news about it.

I told my current tenants to not drink the water, and at least one of them is seeing brown water.

I'm almost certain my next (or next few) properties would've been in this area but do you think it can affect the rent prices and the ability to attract tenants?

Is this a concern for anyone else here?

I was told by an investor that electric stoves can be used in basements. My basement only has 1 exit but at one point I was going to occupy it myself.

I have experience with this and the program also gives the landlord a security voucher. You can use it if there's damage to the apartment.

Hey. Are there any meetups in Newark/East Orange area? Maybe in Essex County at all?

Or are there any that y'all can recommend?

@Lashawn McCauley thanks for the links. (Un)Fortunately I've gained much experience in the eviction process in less than a year. My property is also in Weequahic and I've noticed some great looking MFR in the area. I've also lived in East Orange for a few years and want to scan that city as an investor as well.
