@Matt Stricklen I have no preference yet. It depends on where my job will be. I just recently graduated from school, but if I have to pick an area maybe the Pflugerville area.

Within the next year, I'm going to be searching for my first property. I'm looking to find a multifamily property that I can house hack. Can some of the Austin investors tell me what criteria they like to go by when searching for deals?

@Kirk Calhoon Thank you for the advice, as soon as I finish school and secure a job I believe house hacking will give me a great start as I can utilize other tenants to pay my mortgage for me.

@Joe Aiola Hey Joe! So far in my learning journey, I have become very interested in multifamily investing. I recently just finished Multifamily Millions by David Lindahl and felt like that would be the perfect niche for me! I'm currently reading "Rental Property Investing," by Brandon Turner. Are there any other books that you recommend I read?

@Kyle Spearin Hey Kyle! Thanks for the reply, I've been looking into house hacking, and it seems like the best way to get started and get my feet wet in real estate. Especially with a low entry to get in.

I'm currently reading, "The book on Rental Property Investing" by Brandon Turner, and the 3rd chapter gives out a set of sample plans to start with. The sample plans included, "How to make $1 million through rental properties," "Building wealth through single-family homes," 'How to make $100,000 through BRRRR strategy," and "House Hacking." I'm just curious about if any of you guys that have read the book utilized one of these methods. As well as just curious on how you got started and what was your big "WHY?"
