I have been a landlord for three years.  I let a PM pick the tenants.  The p.m. I use  only charge  two-thirds of the first month rent  to place the tenant .  It works out well for me . She has over 20 years of experience  and has placed  through tenants and my properties thus far. However I do everything else.  I love it so far.  It is worth it to me. The the tenants she has placed have been great no issues

Jay they replaced the wiring to the box but not the wiring to the actual outlets.   Like I said before all the wiring that was not behind the walls is replaced.  However, when I had a unit demo i found all knob and tube.  I am going to have the wire replaced in the unit,  however, I would like to know can I go back to the previous owner in local court.

I caught the wiring that was seen.  If I have an inspection.  How would they be able to tell if the wiring has been fully replaced behind the walls?  I am renovating one of the units down to studs.  I had several calls last year regarding electrical.    I would like to prevent calls in the future.

Yes,  Christopher  I had a home inspection.  He found the wiring that was not covered and I had the previous owner to replace it.  However Like Jay stated they replaced everything except for the wiring in the walls.

I purchased a three-unit apartment building for rental.  It stated on the listing that the wiring had been replaced in 2012.  I talked to my listing agent and show him pictures where there are knob and tube throughout the build.  What if any recourse do I have
