This will be a great example moving forward with agents and the good buyers agents working on behalf of the buyers

Thanks Chris we are waiting for our agent to call us back. She has been great so far. I just want to start cancelling services we had scheduled like painters.

Hi - we were supposed to close on a house yesterday but they said it ready for reinspection until Friday. So when we had a re inspection done, it turned out they only did half the repairs and the ones they did were “temporary.” Our purchase agreement expired yesterday can we just walk? It is not ideal as our house is packed and my husband is in short term housing, but my husband is pretty disgusted with the way the seller has handled this in general. Oh and there is one major repair that they just started Friday - that will not be done for several days.

Thanks

Thank you! The agent we used in AA is not Baltimore-ready.

Thank you all, so maybe to add a bit more info. My husband was just appointed to Deputy Chief of Police. At that level it is somewhat tied to politics. He grew up in Baltimore but moved to Annapolis when we got married. He feels it is only it is only right back in the city. What I was sort of hoping for was to come across someone who specializing in selling houses to renovate. That way we could use the 6 months we have in Annapolis to buy and create something we want. We are thinking Guilford, Mt Washington, Roland Park possibly, a neighborhood along those lines as a garage would be nice.

A higher level police position like that one in Baltimore City won't last due to either corruption, poor performance, or a new government. Rent, don't buy.

I’ve learned it’s not useful to respond to comments like this. Although there is so much I would like to say. Have a blessed night.

I should also say I really respect the idea of living in the city you are trying to improve.

Thank you, Often people are negative but my husband has over 20 years on the police force with never a complaint. He has a great degree and can go in the public sector any minute and do better but it’s important to him to make his hometown a better place for people to be. I think the most important part is simply safety, that’s why I was thinking Roland Park or Mt Washington. I make more than he does, but the Canton, fed Hill or Fells Point could be a draw.

Unfortunately it’s just not a great time to find the city buy it’s important to him to commit again to the city. He only moved to Annapolis when we got married because everyone I knew was here and he was going to be gone all the time.

I did get some good information like it is expensive to renovate and there are good pockets in the city, I just have to find them.

Due to a change in my husbands job we need to move into the city in the next six months. Ideally we would not choose to buy with interest rates what they are and knowing this job could be subject to change in the next 2 years as it tied to politics. That said I thought the ideal situation would be to buy something and upgrade it as we have time. It needs to be is a safe area with parking, as the nature of his job means he come and goes in the middle of the night at a minutes notice. Is it realistic to think that we could do this or does this type of place get snapped up quickly? We have a renovation trust as we own several rentals in AA county. I just don’t see anything when I look online.

Thank you!
