I appreciate this input; thank you!  Shaun, you have brought up another issue, which I have seen some discussion on. (And perhaps this should be another topic. Advise if so.  I will also search the archives.)  My insurance company asked to be named as an additional insured, not just an additional party.  I have not asked for this in the past.  Have any of you received pushback on this?

Hello, I'm an infrequent landlord, and have never had roommates (med students) as tenants, so am unsure what this answer is. We are currently showing the place to them, and they would like to apply. SO: My lease has the usual "must maintain a renters policy with $x level of liability bla bla bla". What I have just now thought of is how this should be handled by two roommates who are not related. Do they each purchase their own policy for themselves with the liability coverage level we've requested? Sorry to be thick. I've just never had to consider this. If it matters, it's a SFH, not a condo. Many thanks in advance for your advice!
