Quote from @Colleen F.:

@Erin Chamberlin  Its not 1980.   Microwaves are pretty standard now. You can just get a wall shelf and a small one. I have seen them on top of shorter Fridges. Above coffee bars.

Ok everyone.  I got it. I have a very small studio with a small kitchen and thought I could go to this (usually quite helpful) forum for some guidance on this issue.  Instead I'm spoken to like I'm an idiot.  I hope you are all very successful in your endeavors.  No further comments are needed.  I'm not sure how to delete my own post, but I would do so in a heartbeat if I could.  (Cue all of you snidely telling me how to delete my post.)

But seriously.  Anyone know where that delete button is?

I was more concerned about space than money, but microwave it is!   I’ll cram it in somewhere.

How vital is a microwave in an MTR?  We're putting together our first MTR unit and I lean toward not including one, but we could make a small one work if it's critical.

Thanks!

Post: MTR's In Syracuse & Surrounding Areas?

Hi there, is anyone doing MTR's in Syracuse?  We have some empty units coming up in Mattydale and Camillus and are wondering if we should convert them to MTR.  Thanks in advance!

Hi Sarah - just the other day I asked my attorneys if they have any clients who have been getting paid by ERAP and they said some have and some haven't and there's no rhyme or reason to which applications are getting processed. They also said that some of those that are getting paid are only getting part of what's overdue which means you can evict right away for non payment.  As much as I want the cash, I'd be ok with that outcome as well.  Good luck!  I'll post here when we get a determination.

Thanks Nathan - getting rid of the tenant is what's causing me the urgency to get paid.  Unfortunately in NY State we cannot evict a tenant with a pending ERAP app.  The good news is that ERAP will pay up to 12 months of rent including rent up until they pay out the claim.  I have an evicting attorney standing by to start the process as soon as we're paid and she misses the next month's rent.

I've got all the info that can be found on the website.  I'm just hoping someone here has recently received a payment from ERAP so I can get a sense of where we stand in the queue.

Thanks!

Hi there, we have a tenant who applied for ERAP Sept 9, 2022.  The application sat for a while and has been pending for a few months now, but the folks at the customer service phone number have no info about where we are in the queue.  Every month I upload the new ledger with the increasing unpaid rent, and check the application status, but there has been no change.

I'm wondering if anyone has been paid out by ERAP in NY State recently and if so, when was your tenant's application filed?

Thank you!

Erin
