@Bob Woelfel Thanks for the response! I do use quickbooks. It can be an amazing tool! I have a few issues with it however. It isnt really geared towards real estate which can make some of the choices or selection process a little more challenging. My business is set up into an LLC with a business account. The problem is i still use my personal funds (as little as possible) to cover some of the bigger expenses or for certain expenses because things like my insurance policies for the properties are lumped into the same bill as my auto and personal home owners (they are broken down into separate policies but the payments are just a lump sum that goes towards everything). That is a great idea for the folders.

Mileage is another concern.  I currently used Mile IQ but sometimes it does a very poor job of autotracking my mileage.  It can end up making things even more confusing.

Its located inside Smart Asset Realty located at 200 W Main Street in Waukesha.  The meetup is one thursday a month (this one being this thursday, February 21st) and is slotted to run from 6pm to 8pm.  Good conversations can be hard to break away from and the meeting usually goes past 8pm.

I have been to one of the two meetings and found it to be very helpful. They bring in different speakers that are experts in certain areas but are also very knowledgeable about REI overall and well help answer all questions related to real estate. Great to meet local people who are intersted in similar things who are willing and eager to share their knowledge.

More info on this and future meetups can be found here...  https://www.meetup.com/Wisconsin-Apartment-Investo...

As a relatively new real estate investor I am learning a lot every single day. Some of this knowledge comes from other REI but even more is from trial and error. One of my biggest weaknesses is staying organized. I know that staying organized would help alleviate a lot of the stress that comes from trying to do everything myself but it remains elusive. What are some good ways or tools that help you keep track of expenses, mileage, legal fees and everything else that comes with the territory. Tips for keeping on top of your organization would also be much appreciated!

Thanks-
