Its been a little while since I have posted but here is what I have noticed D4D.

Enjoy!

1.  I constantly moving my sunglasses.  Can really see my phone (checking county websites) with them on and cant really see properties with them off.

2.  I am still not used to people looking at me as if I am some pedophile hunting for children.  Anyone else experience this?

3.  Curved streets take more time than long straight ones.

4.  Pay attention to no parking signs.  Several times I am parked in a no parking area while writing down notes.  No issues from Johnny Law so far.

5.  Don't just start driving up and down.  Look at your map and plan the best route that covers the most area with the least doubling back as possible.  As Brian Tracy says, "one minute of planning, saves ten minutes in execution"

6.  Some people have absolutely no clue when it comes to decorating their home.

7.  I begin to feel very creepy looking when I continue to accidentally drive by the same person walking that stupid little dog.

8.  More home owners need to pay attention to yard maintenance.

9.  The way most people have their address displayed is very ineffective!

10.  I have yet to run into anyone who is driving for dollars in the same area and I kinda like that!

Feel free to add to the list....

Eric

I do use my return address. I have not had anything come back yet.

My hand writing is not the greatest but I choose to stick with it. If I had someone else write my letters I thought it would be strange for the seller to see my hand writing was not the same at a point later on. I dont want to have a seller feel Im less than honest.

Its a subtle thing but I dont want something I do to possibly become an obstacle for me. Its difficult enough on its own.

@james austin not taken in a negative way. Steady chipping away at it all is far better than sitting on my couch without any goals.

Enrique, did you get back to it? My work has killed this week's productivity with real estate as well. I still listen to podcast both to and from work though. Also, i dont currently have any real estate reading which I feel has taken some rhythm away from me as well.

No deals as of yet. Its a bit frustrating however Im still working at it.  I work full time yet I try to D4D 2 to 3 times a week and I began a direct mail effort as well. I did get my first call back from the mailing which was exciting. No deal there. Turns out the person I mailed to was actually a public notary that help the actual owner set up a trust for the property. I did however get the correct owners address.

Im going to remail the first set of mailers in another week or so. Once work calms down a bit I can refocus on more door knocking.
