Post: Buying homes with blind offers

Hi everyone. We are land investors and use blind offers with success. We also invest in SFR homes for long term passive income (we rent them out). We would like to try and use the blind offer method to purchase homes too. Has anyone here had experience doing this? We don’t want to run into legal trouble if we don’t want to go thru with our offer or price once we do our due diligence. We thought of putting in some additional clauses to make it clear that our offer price and terms are contingent on further inspection of the factors involved like, existing financing, condition of the home, future rentability and rental rates, etc etc. Anyone have some tips or experience?

Hi everyone. We found a subdivision in the US with 95 parcels that are owned by individuals that live in Norway. We just want to purchase the parcels of vacant land.  We plan to send them all blind offers. We wonder if anyone has closed transactions with over seas owners? We would like to do our own closings because we don't plan to pay more than $5,000 a parcel and we have experience closing in this county. How hard is it to deal with owners overseas? We usually just close by mail. Any problems doing this with over seas owners? How about paying them? Any thing we haven't thought of? Is the process the same as if they were in the US?

Really appreciate tips and experience.

Best,

Erick and Mary
