P.S. I’m looking to get my first house hack (duplex) so safety is somewhat of a priority to me. I’ve lived in C+ areas before and I’ve been fine with that but I’d be uncomfortable going any lower.

Hey all greater cincinnati real estate investors. So I’ve been hearing a lot of mixed things about the west price hill area. I’ve been made aware that lower price hill is where all the people went during the over the Rhine gentrification. I’ve also heard east price hill is quite dodgey. I’ve been looking in west price hill because some of the architecture is really eye catching and most of the homes I’ve seen are in tact and quite good looking at a reasonable price. If anyone could give any extra info to help my cause I’d be very appreciative.

@Charles Seaman thank you, I’m going to see it Friday and I’m sure there is a catch to it but if not I found a great deal for a first time buyer. Both units are occupied but they know the building is for sale so it may be a m2m lease at this point. I’ll figure out the details soon. Appreciate your advice!

Hey all

I’m new to the real estate game and I’ve been looking at properties in Cincinnati and greater cincy area over the last few months. I found a duplex with a one bedroom and a 3 bedroom for 72k. The rent for the 3 unit should more than pay for my mortgage and cash flow 500-600. This seems far too good to be true for my first deal. The property isn’t in the best area but it’s also not in the worst. I’m going to look at it next Friday and I’ve been talking to lenders. Anyone have any thoughts?
