When i was 17 i made a goal within 5 years i would buy my first property and pursue my passion. Here i am at 22 and after doing my due diligence in the last few years in learning the markets that are up and comming; I've decided I'd really love getting into flipping REOs in NY. I'm trying to find like minded investors and or someone who's a little older and or seasoned to invest with i used to use bigger pockets just to read the questions people ask but now I'd love yo use it to meet investors. Sadly my friends don't share the same vision i do.

thank you everyone i really ask because I've been looking to start investing in real estate now while I'm 22 but wasn't sure if i should expect home prices to drop due to this. I'm sure it'll make the U.S currency stronger.

Any thoughts on how the brexit will effect the real estate market in the U.S?

so I've been looking to invest out of state due to high costs of nyc. What states would you recommend? aside from texas. (i've already been studying that state)

dallas texas is supposed to be fire right now, I'm looking over there for the same thing.

i just turned 22, best advice i can give you is save as much as you can and buy a junk car that gets you from point A to point B. I did not go to school which put me into a pretty good saving advantage (school may not be the best road or it might that's for you to decide). stay away from women who try to get you to pay for everything, i can testify that i was able to save way more money single than in a relationship. Moral to the story sacrifice.

No it was not through an HPD program. We currently all live there but it's only a one bedroom condo so as you can imagine it's very tight I've been living there because I've been able to save significant amounts of money there but like i said i can't see myself staying there more than 2 years. As is i could get about 1550-1600$ per month for rent. Even if i turn it into a 2 bedroom i can only get maybe 1700 maybe 1900 bit that would be pushing it.

To get into details, my father wants to sell my brother, sister and i a property for 330,000$ valued at about 430,000$ right now however we're not allowed to sell it for 10 years min. I also don't plan on living there for the next 10 years neither does my siblings maybe two years tops and in that time i will be comming out of pocket 300-400$ a month not including if anything breaks. Ultimately i could get the property myself but I'm trying to avoid my siblings hating me also considering whenever something does break I'll ne responsible to take care of it. Does this sound like something that's worth it?
