Crypto Firms Quake as Prices Fall - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

The Federal Reserve and all central banks should allow the entire crypto-currency industry to collapse without any aid. The industry was a bait and switch scam from the beginning, mostly used for illegal activity. The industry titans resisted all forms of regulation and oversight. The tax payers of the world cannot pick up the tab for this waste of energy and so-called "innovation." It needs to be stopped now before some form of this arises in the so-called metaverse, where tech titans want to shift the entire economy over to so they can extract profits and not be responsible for any of the negative side effects. Stop it all now!

Banks get bailed out. The stock market gets bailed out.  There's data that shows cash is used far more for illegal purposes.

And if you, scott, that other dude hadnt noticed, everything is getting kicked in the teeth right now.  Let's see what happens.

Also, I post facts. You are posting you are posting random comments on YouTube articles.

Quote from @Scott Trench:

Right on cue, we see 0 to 1 at play from @Eric Carr. March 2020 is a great starting point example. It's a valley in bitcoin's price, and the price has increased 4X since that point.

Eric - I hope you make a killing and bitcoin continues to grow. You believe in it. And you want it to succeed. You morally support it.

I just hope others don't get fooled by 0 to 1 and in turn get killed by bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

Right I'm cue? Terrell tagged me!

I've been holding for 10 years. My point has always been anything can happen and no one can tell the future. And we've been here before

There have been several March 2020 to November 2021 scenarios.  I'm not morally defending anything, nor am I emotional. That's why I've held. Like I've always said, let's see what happens

Agree.  Mr @Eric Carr has lectured me endlessly regarding my ignorance of Bitcoin greatness.

Buy, hold, wait.

When the price drops, and I expect a bigger drop, the trolls come out.

You and @Bruce may not know that everything is down right now.

I'll ask you both and Scott a question. If you could go back to March 2020 and by anything with a million dollars, what would it be?

Zoom out on the chart. If you don't have the stomach for the volatility, stay out

Quote from @Terrell Garren:

B, it's not currency. It's property. Do you check your house value every day?

Bitcoin is a digital asset designed by its inventor, Satoshi Nakamoto, to work as a currency. It is commonly referred to with terms like: digital currency, digital cash, virtual currency, electronic currency, digital gold, or cryptocurrency.

You need to find Satoshi and let him know you are moving the goal posts.

In addition to PayPal, shopify, national cash register, Blackhawk, Chipotle is now accepting bitcoing for payment.  They are also offering 10% off if paid using bitcoin.

Also about your statement earlier... The bitcoin low of 2012 was $4. If you had half a million in cash in the bank, what would that have eroded to in todays dollars? Meanwhile,  do that math for $500k in bitcoin at $4, today.

If your house was liquid on a minute by minute basis it would be highly volatile.
Exactly.  Bitcoin trades 24/7, with a click.

Do you understand how it works?

Do you also understand that we are still very early?  However, at the moment, the IRS and the government has classified it as property.

Like I just said, it has all the properties of a sound currency. It seems like you are selectively looking at the things that you want to see

Bitcoin fixes money. It's also a superior transfer and ledger system.

The number of countries that have adopted btc alongside USD, and may replace USD, is growing.

Yes, exactly what you want in a currency.  Nothing like having $500 in your account this month and $250 next month.  It makes budgeting so much easier.  I do not understand why Bitcoin has not replaced the USD.
It seems that you prefer a currency that only goes down, steadily, but surely.
