Thank you all!! That is great to know I will not lose money because purchasing a home without inspecting the interior and exterior is risky enough.

Hello,

I am in Houston, Texas. I visted the tax accessors website about sale tax homes.

Further, I discovered that the homeowner has the right to claim their home after the investor has purchased the home at the tax sale. If the home is not homestead, homeowners have until 180 days to reclaim their property. If the home is homestead, homeowners have 2 years to claim their property.

Most importantly, will I get my money back from the tax assessor, homeowner, or neither?
I would have just lost money?
The tax assessor office website failed to publish the answers to my questions.

Are you saying you have bidded in a smaller county, and had success or in Harris county?

How much does title searches cost, or does it depends on the county?

I would like to know which is the best tax sale property to buy, sale, resale, struck-off, or future sales? How do I bid on residential real estate? What should I expect when I attend? I'm in Houston, Texas.
