Post: Any Success with St. Augustine Vacation Properties?

Damian,

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I haven’t been on BP often this fall. I looked and think there’s limited opportunities for rentals near the beach on the letter&number streets,  but on the east side of A1A. I’ve been there yearly for several years now and found out there’s a city-imposed limit on the number of short-term rentals. City officials were considering doubling the number of rentals permitted, but there was already a backlog of investors waiting for those to open up. You may have better luck with flips or if you want to look at buying a place for your own use.

Luke, same here. I'm hoping to talk to some people when I'm there mid-July. Last year was my first time down there in several years. I liked what I saw, but it seemed to me there were more vacancies than I expected.
Wondering if anyone has had good experiences in the St. Augustine, FL market with vacation rentals. I'm thinking more about the beach areas than near the old city area. I realize location and rentals are good in the summer, but I get the feeling vacancies are higher the rest of the year.
Congrats! I wish you continued success

Sorry, I'm being cryptic. My inquiries are on mobile home parks. They are larger than 2-4 person-sorry I wasn't clear the first time. I just wanted to know whether the confidentiality agreement itself should spook me. I don't normally sign stuff without a lawyer or creditor making me.  :-)

Hi All! I submitted a question online to a realtor about a couple of properties in Florida. Rather than respond, the realty company sent me a confidentiality agreement to sign before they forward the question to the realtor. I find this odd. Has anyone else had similar experience? My gut tells me to drop it. Thanks, Eric
