if I purchase a duplex that has 2 bedrooms each using an fha loan, can I find a roommate for the other bedroom in the unit I live in? Or is that not allowed?

It might be difficult for you to qualify for financing...but don't say "I can't"....ask yourself "how can I?" (If you don't know where that is from, go read Rich Dad Poor Dad)

That's a great mindset to have, thanks!

 Thanks for the advice!

Hello everyone,

My name is Ephrem from Lancaster, PA and I'm really interested in real estate investing, hence, the reason why I'm here. I trying to learn as much as I can about real estate because It's something I am passionate about. I feel like I learned a lot already from reading a lot of the articles here and from the BP podcast. I am 21 years old and I'm currently in school studying business administration. I will graduate in December of 2017 so I’m super excited about that.I would like to invest in real estate but currently not sure which route to take. I'm leaning more towards buy and hold but flips interest me as well.

I got interested in real estate because of family friends and the more I learned about it the more passionate I became. My goals include: acquiring as many cash flowing properties as I can (not specific I know), possibly buying my first property this summer, and establishing a real estate business to the point where I don't have to actively manage it so I can pursue other goals and dreams. Excited for this journey!
