@Chiagoze Fawole I'm currently working with my client who would like to purchase his first investment property. Basically he's looking in finding a multi-family that fits into the FHA 203k limit purchase price:

He's also looking for a commute to midtown that would be less than 1 hour. The neighborhoods we've looked into so far have been mostly BedStuy, Crown Heights, Lefferts Gardens, Ditmas Park, Bay Ridge, Forest Hills, Sunnyside, and Woodside. We're beginning to expand looking out in The Bronx.

Great post Adam, I couldn't agree more. The listings are out there you just have to be able to see the full potential of each property. I'm familiar with each of the neighborhoods you mentioned and each has its pros and cons. Thank you for sharing!!

My question is where do I find off-market multi family properties in NYC, especially Brooklyn. The market in NY is so over saturated with investors looking to either buy and hold, or buy and flip. Inventory is scarce, especially for multi family homes in Brooklyn. Can an anyone answer this?

I agree that will be a little difficult to find, I have a few 1 families for the 350k mark. Feel free to reach out if you're still interested.

Hey BP community, I've been successful as a real estate agent for the past couple months but I want to try my hand at property management. Is there anyone that knows of internship opportunities. I'm looking to work with an experienced property manager to learn as an apprentice.
