Hello BP, I am a new to real estate and still searching for my very first property. I'm in the chicago area and was wondering who are the best agents to contact to help with closing wholesale deals. I eventually want to become a landlord. But due to funding I am pursing wholesaling first.

I'm honestly trying to look into those now. I don't know where to start? I went to a couple of Chicago REIA meetings and they said they are focusing on the west and south side and suburbs. Given that the north side is so expensive now. I guess I may do the same. I would like to maybe house hack up north but I need some guidance.

Hello BP, I am a new to real estate and still searching for my very first property. From my understanding real estate in big markets such as Chicago, Miami, LA, and NY is very difficult to make profit on because of taxes and other fees. I have linked up with the Chicago REIA but it kinda seems as if they only try to sell you things. Has anyone here made any good money in the chicago market? Also can someone really break down the chicago market for me?
