Hello Christopher, you do take into account your rent but once you rent the other unit out it usually covers your mortgage and may put a little extra in your pocket.

It's a town house. Would that property be ideal for renting. My job does 100 percent financing for owner occupied.

I would do both renting and fix and flips. I have heard of hard money lender, but hear their interest rates could be steep. I work at a bank and my job is doing 100 percent financing so I though I'd start with them.

The mortgage for this property would be about 400 to 500. I plan to live in for about 6 months and make upgrades. Eventually I will rent it out and charge 800 to 850 per month.

Hello guys, I am interested in having rental properties. I am looking at a property on 11 Sally Ann place in Virginia. I was looking to get it at 70000. It is 2 bed 1.5 baths and rents for about 800 to 850 a month. I plan to live in it and first and eventually turn it into a rental and repeat the process. Does that sound like a decent investment? Are there other things I need to look at? I am completely new to this process and want to make sure I do it right.

I want to get started in real estate, but don't know how. Eventually I want to own several rental properties, but don't know how to get there. Should I start by flipping houses? Turnkey? Storage units? I'm not sure. Also, whats the best way to get started doing this? I have about 10,000 saved and would most like take out a loan. Should I go through a bank or are there better alternatives? Please share your stories .
