@Kenneth Dill I live close to Cahokia. I’m not sure that the houses are renting for that much. It’s right by East St Louis which is real high on crime. DM me the address I could check it out for you, some homes in areas are on blocks that are 50 % vacant

Which neighboring cities would you recommend investing in Andrew?

@Emily    gave you some really sound advice.  I have been in a similar position.  It was feeling whenever I take one step forward,  I end up taking two backwards.  I've had many talks with God, myself and my wife asking was real estate meant for me.  But,  I have to keep persisting, and know that If were diligent, and work hard and don't quit,  things will change.  And it will.  Good luck to you bro.

@Bryan Potts Everything you described in your post is describing every aspect of my life.  I've dealt with SA since my earliest memories.  I come from a huge family so family reunions and holidays are extremely difficult for me.  I am also married with kids with a job, so i've been successful even with SA  I was also able to block it out when i was on the wrestling mat.  It's very refreshing to hear a story similar to mine. I have been in real estate for the last 10 years.  I am a landlord of 4 different homes.  My wife helps me with some aspect, but i have been able to succeed in this field so just know it is possible for you.  Actually anything is possible when we get past those self defeating thought that can sometime paralyze us.

I manage it from Fairview Heights, IL, which is a neighbor city of Belleville.  I've lived here for 7 years.  I spend most of time in this area.

Hey Zane I'm the owner four homes that I rent out. Three are in my hometown of Rock Island and I have one in Belleville. I've been doing this for over 6 years and am looking to expand. I will be looking into multi unit properties in the future. As far as the market, honestly it seems if people are moving away from the Belleville area. I see many homes for sale and rent all the time.

I live in the Belleville area.  Have been a landlord of 4 independent units in my hometown.  I don't know what the going rate is for a 4 unit, but what price range are you wanting to pay?
