Wow thank you so much for the wonderful insights. As you all have suggested, we have decided to engage a lawyer to assist with this endeavor. I truly appreciate all of your wisdom @Kathy Henley @David Gotsill and @Daniel Dietz

Hi everyone,

I'm in the nascent stages of establishing an LLC with my partners (4 in total), and am curious if your experience recommends we draft one ourselves or we rely on legal counsel to draft? I've seen some endorsements for the latter, but would love to hear from anyone who's done the former with limited issues.

Thanks in advance!

@Kyle Altenau I’ve heard this. Will be talking to a few people more familiar than the market than I am. Any other recommendations on how to diligence from afar?

@Joseph Cacciapaglia thanks for the insight! I’m thinking about Philly because of synergies (family and friends nearby) as well as the NYC/Philly price hypothesis. Synergies are the largest reason though. Since it’s my first one, I want to reduce the friction points as much as possible so I’m focusing most of my attention in areas where I have trusted people.

Hey All. Relatively new to BP and to real estate investing. I'm looking to buy my first property in the next 3 months and while I'm based in the Bay, I'm looking at Philly to start for a few reasons. Anyone open to chatting about their recent experience in this market? I'd be super grateful!
