Hey John, how far under market value did you acquire these properties? Would it be worth flipping them as is for a quick buck? One idea might be to contact the builders who are already working in that subdivision and see if they are interested in acquiring them.

I agree that it would be pretty expensive to build a road and then build houses on each lot. It sounds like you would be assuming a lot of risk, especially if it would be difficult to sell them down the road.

This is a pretty interesting situation. It seems like you would be leveraged quite a bit. What is the market value of the vacant land? How big is it? If you're interested in turning it into a glamping site, I would highly recommend listening to the RETipster Podcast episode 114. It's titled "Turning Vacant Lots into Glamorous Cash Flow Machines w/ Robuilt." The episode is a centered on an interview with a gentleman who's made his business about buying vacant lots and turning them into glamping sites.

Hi @Jake Soper, thank you for your response. We have had difficulty personalizing our postcards because the services we've used don't allow for personalization outside the text box for address. Do you have any tips or services that allow for further customization?

Hi, as someone else mentioned, I've had luck using the county GIS. If you just search on Google "county name GIS system" then you should be able to get into their map. Once there, you can type in the parcel number or the address. After selecting the property, you should be able to see owner information. Best of luck! 

Hi Lauren, I saw this post was originally created a while ago. Have you learned much about direct mail since then? I'm also looking to use direct mail as a way to contact leads and I was wondering if you have any pointers.

I'm looking for an electronic method to contact targeted leads. For context, I'm reaching out to property owners and letting them know that I'm interested in acquiring their property.

I'm already using direct mail (postcards) but am looking for an electronic way to contact these property owners. I've heard mixed opinions on whether it's legal or not to cold contact leads using email. I've also considered using Google ads but it seems difficult, potentially impossible, to get them to be as targeted as direct mail. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
