is anyone buying condos and renting by the bedroom in nyc?

hello everyone. i have seen some listins that say they have a dollar amount on violations and water bills, and other bills. if i buy a property with this violations or bills, will i be responsibles to pay the violations? the bills?

so recently i decided to take some form of action. i have been looking at properties on the different apps for some time now. i decided that it was time to grab my you know what, and take the next action, so i decided to give an agent a call to get some info, i pick up the phone dial the number, the agent answers and, OH NO! i dont know what to ask the agent!!!! what are some key questions to ask the agents before deciding to go see the properties.

@John Hickey very interesting. i called and the agent told me they had lots of offers, that i would need to put in a good offer because the property picked a lot of interest. i had a filling she was trying to drive price up.

@Andrew Johnson same thing i was thinking. why hasnt anyone snatched it yet, and thats what was worrying me. as for the work itself i would have to hire contractors to do evethung as i have no knowledge or experience at all. i would like to finance the purchase price+ construction cost+ the first 6 or so months since i plan to live in one unit and rent the other 2. while construction is taking place, i wont have the money to make the payments, hence the financing of the first 6 months.
