Hello,

I have a potential tenant for a unit that I have. It’s my first time screening someone. My question is:

Does anyone know if it’s against the law to call The potential tenants employer and former landlords. She included them in the application but not in the reference part.

I have a tenant with a pitbull. On our contract it states no pets. I have talked with her in the past about it. I live in California. Any advise?
