Hope everyone is doing great!

We are currently starting to invest in the Birmingham Market and looking for PM and Real Estate investor friendly agents in Birmingham.

I myself have 2 deals closing this week and looking to get help/guidance on section 8 rules on Birmingham or being helped out. Would need the section 8 worked on asap to get it rented asap after closing.

My 2nd partner is closing on 3 this week and has closed on 5 in last month.

My 3rd partner has closed 4-5 this month as he just entered the market and will be closing on over 20 here shortly.

Combined we have over 370+ units and now entering Birmingham.

We’re looking to build a team in the area as well as referrals for handyman and boots on the ground.

Post: Real estate professional status

Good afternoon,

I have a question pertaining to real estate professional status while having a W2 job. I currently work a rotational W2 job (3 weeks on and 3 weeks off) and therefore do have a lot of time off and work on my real estate properties or learning, cold calling, DFD, etc. I believe those investors that are fire fighters or nurses may have similar cases. Therefore, wondering if anyone has some feedback on experience with being a rotational worker and qualifying for being a real estate professional? I also manage or part take in real estate activities while I am rotating for work (during my off hours).

I am looking for local credit unions in South Florida where some investors have had success with so far. Wondering if someone may be able to share their experience or the local credit unions that understand Real estate investing. Have you had more success with residential loans or commercial loans to but single family homes?

Was not able to attend as I am out of town. However, is this a meet up that you do monthly on a recurring basis?

@Matthew Consolo @Jared Wilbraham @Jason Perez

Welcome to BP Matthew, just wanted to reach out to all 3 as I am new to RE Investing as well. Just like the three of you I am from South Florida and currently live in Fort Lauderdale, would like to meet up and discuss RE with others. Feel free to reach out so we can set something up either remotely or over some coffee/drinks and maybe catch a game and some food.

Post: Bigger Pockets/Real Estate in Spanish books/material

Good evening,

I am a newbie to bigger pockets (about 4 months) as well as to real estate and navigating my way to becoming a real estate investor. I have been able to purchase the books available on BP and currently reading through the BRRRR book (my fourth). There is a lot of useful and helpful information on there that I would love to share with my mom. Are there any available BP books that are translated to spanish? Any spanish individual on BP that recommend spanish books or podcast that have a lot of useful information similar to that which is taught on BP? Also, has anyone at BP looked at making the books/material available in different languages? Would think that in today's technological world that should not be that hard. @Joshua Dorkin @Brandon Turner

My mom became a RE agent in South Florida over a year ago and has been my inspiration. She has showed me that even after 50 (she swears she is not over 50 haha) that you can reinvent yourself and pivot careers. She happen to stumble onto RE when purchasing her first "forever" home after the bubble and once I moved back in the area she sold it for over $100k profit. She bought another house 4 years ago in North Miami, that everyone told her was a bad deal and she once again has seen over $100k profit. She was doing great deals (75% LTV or better) without knowing and having an eye for what it can become. As she continues her RE journey she has had her ups and downs as a new agent trying to get clients etc. She has learned a lot and is in process of trying to build her portfolio and I wish I could provide her with more learning material. I have explained some of the material that I have learned on BP. She can read English and understand, however, if it were in spanish she would be able to process it a lot quicker as it is her first language.

I figure it may be a long shot - but statistically speaking more than enough people on BP will probably have some suggestions that I may pass on. If you're looking to network and see where she may be feel free to reach out. She is a hard worker, go getter and has available time that she can barter/trade for some further knowledge.

Thanks,

Forward paying son
