I've identified 8 properties and will finance with a local bank. Bigger banks are touching south side it seems. Do you have recommended banks that will finance properties in lower income neighborhoods.

I am looking to invest in  a 7-unit MF apartment in Chicago market, specifically between Cicero and Oak Park. Does anyone have feedback or experience in this market? I've been told landlords don't have a lot of leverage should renters  decide not to pay there rents. Any issues with Section 8 renters?
