Thank you everyone for your advice. You are right, as I will likely need the help of an agent and the MLS. Evidently, the market is low on four-plexes, so I will adapt my plan to triplexes. I would love to have some of you as colleagues if you're willing!

Alex Cotton I agree with your methods. I'm going to need to try other methods at this point. I was just asking because I felt doing it online was the easiest method.

Annie Scott I would love to make a deal with you, but I'm not experienced enough to manage that. Thank you for the offer though!

Matthew Brenner I tried my whole state, but got nothing. I may have to wait and try triplexes till I can expand to other states and find quads. Thanks for your advice!

John French I appreciate your interest in my forum discussion, but please do not use it as a tool for finding deals or for advertisement. For that, please contact the person directly. Thank you.

I've been trying to get a small and decent start in REI. After some reading and listening, I decided I wanted to go with renting. I took the advice of Brandon Turner, and I though I should start with a four-plex, and I would build up from there. The problem is, I can't find any listings on my searches. Have you guys found any somewhere? If not, do you have any suggestions for where I should start my investing instead? Any advice is helpful.
