Are there any Real Estate meet ups in Lubbock Tx and if so can someone point me in the direction of them. I'm looking to get involved with my local network and maybe learn something from some professionals.

@Jason Dillard

Idk yet. Currently it is still my fathers. But we’ve been brain storming to figure out how to make money with the land so we don’t have to sell it. So if we use it maybe to acquire a line of credit with a bank and use it to buy properties and then funnel that money back into the ranch then it could fund it self. Or at least invest the land money into real estate that would appreciate faster than the land.

We need to find out the current price though, you’re right.

My family has a ranch that is honestly out in the middle of no where. It use to have cattle on it but no longer does. It’s around 2500 acres in west Texas and it has been in my family for a long time.

I don't want to sell it, but what my question is am I able to leverage it to buy other forms of real estate? I guess like a " Land HELOC" I guess it would be a "LELOC" if that is even a possibility.

Do you avoid buying rentals or just homes in general that have window AC units/wall heaters?

If you don’t, why is that?

If you do buy those properties, do you keep the current equipment or do you have a strategy to make it better?

I am house hacking with an apartment in the back of my property. My tenant is a 19 y/o student and she pays rent on time every month.

My question is how can I report her on time rent so it will build her credit to help her when she is out of college and helps her in the future.

Why is it that I never hear anyone ever talk about renting out townhouses? Are their pitfalls that I’m not able to see?

Not to get too political. But do the rich really pay less in taxes like Mr.Sanders says?
