@David Carroll

Hello David, you can move everything to a SDIRA, then create a check book IRA. If I recall correctly this is a corporation that you create and your IRA invests in

Hi all,

I am not even sure how to search for this topic. I heard on a real estate podcast that if the host was going to buy a property out of state, he could hire a service to go to the property to take pictures from the outside to at least get a general idea on the outside condition. What kind of service is that? The reason I am asking is that I need that kind of service.

Thanks in advance...

Daniel

P.S. I really don't want to have to dig through the 100's of podcasts again to find the name of the service I'm looking for.

Hey All,

I posted this question here:

https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/70/topics/291046-ppr-note-fund?page=3#p2595114

and @James Mc Ree (https://www.biggerpockets.com/users/JamesM15) made mention of note investing in Judicial forclosure states vs. Non-Judicial forclosure states.

I'd like to start investing in some reperforming notes, but how can you tell if the collateral property is in a Judicial or Non-Judicial forclosure state? And does it really make a difference?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks James for the proper terminology. I would like to invest on the fund side of PPR, but I a non-accredited investor. At least there's some protection with the performing note side.

I just looked up the most recent performing note offering from PPR and homes in the same neighborhood have recently sold for a similar price compared to the listed value of the property that's being used as collateral for the note

Hey all,

If you wanted to buy a performing note from PPR are there states you should avoid. Meaning are there states that are less friendly to lender / note owners?

Thanks in advance

I am a Memphis Invest (MI) investor since 2014 and they are pretty headache free and your rep is pretty easy to get a hold up. MI ensures you are up-to-date with what's going on with property and are easy to work with.

Here's my experience:
