Thanks,

I found eventually some info on this topic, but all related to foreclosures scams. Here is a link to one of the article:

I've been researching foreclosed properties in LA, and came across to some interesting stuff where owners in distress are selling fractions of their property to investors. Does anyone know about this practice?

Is anyone attending this next week?

Is there an elevator apartment building class designated by the local government like there is in New York City (Class D)?

FOR TIPS on getting the "DATA" at NO COST see my post below....

In order to get foreclosure data from Dataquick you have to subscribe for Dataqucik Prospectfinder, which is NOT FOR FREE

I agree that Dataquick offers quality data but it can't match the accuracy and rapid update of local providers of foreclosure data. Local providers (usually) have staff hired to attend the foreclosure auctions in order to get complete coverage.

One example is http://www.propertyshark.com/mason/Foreclosures/index.html which has great coverage in NYC, LA and other metropolitan areas. There are, of course , also free providers. You can check some suggested by Barbara Corcoran http://www.nydailynews.com/services/realestate/2008/01/11/2008-01-11_subleting_for_starters.html

Although part of our manufacturing has moved overseas that move helped most of our companies boost their profits, which in the end is a plus for the American economy. As long as our companies thrive overseas I think there is no need to worry a big recession
