Post: NC broker looking for property management brokerage firm

I got my NC license last year hoping to help build my rental property portfolio, but I have had several friends of mine ask if I would manage their properties and unfortunately the brokerage I currently work for only does residential buying and selling and I cannot do property mangement through them. Since I have only been an agent for a year I cannot get my BIC certification for a few years to open my own LLC.

Does anyone on here know of a good firm that would be open to dual affiliation or just property management in general that are open to new agents in Charlotte, NC?

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Keep in mind this is personal property on land until It is fixed to the land. It would not be considered real property until it’s on a slab when you go to sell it.

I will most likely keep it as personal property until I find a final location for it. Thanks for the reminder though!

Hey Biggerpockets Community,

I’ve been following this forum and podcast for a few years and finally pulled the trigger on an investment condo in Charlotte, NC earlier this year and have been house hacking my primary single family home for a while. Just wanted to say thanks to all the helpful information on here as it definitely pushed me to finally do something instead of just reading about it.

With that being said, I now have the itch to build my portfolio and have the opportunity to buy my sister’s tiny house which she currently lives in. I have already worked out the financials and talked to property managers to run this as an Airbnb, but if any of you are familiar with tiny homes (on wheels) you will know the struggle of finding a place to put it. My sister has moved hers from RV parks to friends land next to their house to my parents driveway and is over the allure of living minimalistically due to those road blocks.

Long story short, I am hoping that someone in this community would know of someone, somewhere in NC that has land to sell or lease that has some framework done to accommodate a tiny house on wheels. Ideally we would love to keep this as an occasional vacation spot for us to use as well, so bonus points if it is in the mountains or close to water.

Thanks!
